Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 August 2026

By using Maahol, you agree to these terms. They're written plainly — we want you to actually understand them.

What Maahol is

Maahol is a network of audio rooms for listening, sharing, and building community around Indian music and nostalgia. We provide the infrastructure; you and other users provide the community.

Your account

You need a Maahol account (via Clerk) to create rooms. You're responsible for keeping your account secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use Maahol.

Content you create

When you build a room, you are responsible for the content in it. Specifically:

We reserve the right to remove rooms or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

Music and copyright

Maahol uses YouTube's embed API to play music. We do not host audio files. Copyright for all music remains with its respective owners. We do not pay royalties directly — the YouTube platform handles licensing for embedded content. If you are a rights holder and believe content on Maahol infringes your rights, contact us.

Room limits

Each user account may create up to 2 personal rooms at a time. Rooms must contain a minimum of 5 songs and a maximum of 25. Songs must be under 9 minutes in duration.

Prohibited conduct

You may not use Maahol to:

Service availability

We strive to keep Maahol available, but we make no guarantees of uptime or data preservation. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We'll try to give notice of major changes, but aren't obligated to.

Limitation of liability

Maahol is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We're not liable for damages arising from your use of the platform, including data loss, service interruptions, or third-party content.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms. We'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
